When I started selling my prints in the markets, lots of people were asking me about frames; it has always been a bit tricky for me to explain why I didn't offer framed pictures. For one, the prints I sell are produced on archival 'fine art' paper only, which is already a bit more expensive than the average photographic paper. For two, good quality frames are not cheap and I didn't want to just offer any frame (I always aim for quality).

However, after months of thinking and re-thinking, my husband (who is a DIY expert by the way 😂) had the brilliant idea to start making frames to help my business. Why not? This way, we can offer the full package without the hassle of finding a quality framer/ordering etc.

The concept he came up with it's absolutely brilliant! The frames are made from natural wood either recycled or up-cycled - sometimes he just grabs fallen pieces of trees he finds in the parks, roads, etc - and that's how 'Framing Pickled' was born! 😄 He has even produced a frame for a customer cut from a branch taken from their own garden, making it a very personal and unique frame! 💙

Here are some 'behind the scenes' of producing the frames:

Now you must be wondering why the heck it's called 'Framing Pickled' ? Well, my husband's nickname given by me is 'pickled' because I couldn't believe his age when we first met (well preserved😂!)

We already had some lovely customers, who bought my prints previously, ordering frames. They are very happy with them!

We offer frames in natural wood, black, white, or any colour of choice, in any size. All products used are natural and water-based.
